Luke Wood – Chief Technical Officer

Luke WoodLuke Wood is a founding director of OWW Consulting and was appointed Chief Technical Officer in June 2006. He is also Director of the Academy of Responsible Management Sdn Bhd and Opinion Tiger Sdn Bhd.

Within OWW Consulting, Luke is responsible for the creation of research systems and processes, the design and implementation of surveys and the collation and analysis of survey data using web-based technologies. He has a strong background and understanding of business problems in high technology industries both from a practical and research perspective and has extensive experience of data collection and web-based surveying techniques. He has also been actively involved in the development of the OWW CSR Ratings System and has directed CSR projects for du, MRCB, PLUS Expressways, Petronas, Telekom Malaysia and others as part of the OWW CSR Advisory Portfolio.

In his role as Chief Technical Officer, Luke has been responsible for the design and implementation of the OWW ResponsibilityTM SRI Ratings Tool and the OWW ResponsibilityTM Web-Search Tool which are our unique proprietary software. He is also a key liaison with OWW partners at the SAS® Institute for the implementation of our joint sustainability software. In addition he is responsible for the design, maintenance and security of the OWW network infrastructure

He is an MBA graduate of Nottingham University Business School (NUBS) and has a BA (Hons) from Kingston University, United Kingdom. His MBA dissertation on media piracy was awarded with distinction.

His professional experience is drawn from the music industry in the United Kingdom in which he worked in a variety of technical roles for a number of years, specialising in the technological solution of high volume data handling.

He was involved in the design and creation of a digital music library of 700,000 commercial tracks. This music was used in a range of web-based commercial applications including digital jukeboxes. An investigative study was conducted in 2006 to establish the feasibility of expanding this business into Malaysia and Singapore. He has also investigated methods to combat the illegal exploitation of copyrighted music on the internet.
