  • Documentary evidence reviewed from both internal and external communications. These can include:

    • Reports generated from internal specialist management information systems
    • Established Codes of Conduct embedded within Management Handbooks
    • Conditions of Employment Agreements
    • Operating manuals
    • Internal newsletters and staff memos
  • Observing related facilities and areas including notice  boards, site facilities and management offices
  • Viewing the processes and calculations of the system for energy and water consumption and emissions monitoring and reduction
  • Challenges to the CSR related statements and claims made in the Report
  • Site visits to review processes, procedures and documentation
  • Meetings with external stakeholders to verify the integrity of  your programmes

Assurance Standards

There are no mandatory international standards for the assurance of CSR Reports. OWW Consulting applies our own strict Code of Conduct on Assurance and Assessment which draws on international best practice and guidelines including:

  • The principles of balance, comparability, accuracy, timeliness, clarity, relevance and reliability in the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G3 Guidelines.
  • The principles of independence of assurance in the GRI-G3 Guidelines, the AA1000AS and the the International Standard on Assurance Engagements (ISAE 3000) are taken into account.
